Molarity & Dilution
Scoop solute into the beaker and set how much solution you have. Molarity is just moles divided by litres, so adding water spreads the same particles through more liquid and the colour fades. Chase a target concentration and watch the dilution equation stay balanced.

What to try
- Keep the solute fixed and pour in more water. Why does the molarity drop even though no solute left the beaker?
- Halve the volume. Does the concentration double, or change by something else?
- The particle count and the colour both react to your sliders — which one tracks moles, and which tracks molarity?
- Can you hit the 0.50 M target two different ways — with a lot of solute, and with only a little?
- If M₁V₁ always equals M₂V₂, what quantity is really being conserved when you dilute?
